Housing: Housing is provided for the Complete Course. It will be either with church members or a shared furnished house. You maybe asked to share a bedroom with one other person and share a house. Please bring your own kitchen items, toiletries, and linens (including towels and bedding for a single bed). The accomodation includes 7 days a week keep and meals supplied for 5 days.
Vehicles: Please advise us if you have use of a car. This will help assess where you will be placed to live.
Meals: ACE will provide 2 vegan meals a day, Monday to Friday. Students are responsible for their own meals at weekends only. (We highly recommend a vegan diet while at ACE.)
Cleanliness: Please keep your living quarters clean at all times. A vacuum cleaner is available. A cleaning deposit of £100 per student will be charged. This deposit will be refunded only if the apartment is left clean and undamaged.
Computers: If you have a personal computer, it will be useful in your assignments and outreach projects.
Damage: Students are responsible for damage done to their rooms and will be charged for the cost of repair.
Utilities: ACE will pay for gas and electricity and Rates.
Pleasant Environment: When sharing a room, please do everything possible to be pleasant. Little courtesies go a long way! Don't neglect them. Please share responsibilities for keeping the facilities clean and respect the personal property and space of your roommates.
Telephone: Telephones and phone service are the responsibility of the students occupying the house.
Television/Music: We ask that students maintain a quiet, studious atmosphere conducive to spiritual thoughts and in harmony with Christian principles. In order to best meet the needs of our program and promote Christian development, we do not allow televisions in the apartments and rooms.
If you wish to listen to music in your accommodations, please obtain the consent of your roommates before “sharing” your music with them. If necessary, use headphones or keep the volume low. Moreover, all music needs to be in keeping with Christian standards as set forth in Philippians 4:8. Music classified as “Christian rock” or “rap” is not appropriate.
Transportation: Students are responsible for providing and maintaining their own transportation for class attendance and community outreach activities. It may be possible for students who do not bring their own vehicle to be teamed with those who do. In such instances, the students will be sharing the vehicle expenses. Students needing transportation for outreach etc should help towards the costs of those who have cars.
